Day 87

Bringing It All Together

9 Shawwal 1447

الْجَامِعُ

Al-Jāmi‘The Gatherer

رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ جَامِعُ النَّاسِ لِيَوْمٍ لَّا رَيْبَ فِيهِ ۚ

Our Lord! Lo! it is Thou Who gatherest mankind together to a Day of which there is no doubt. Lo! Allah faileth not to keep the tryst

Surah Āl ‘Imrān (3:9)

Intention

Today, I will gather one scattered part of my life — a neglected relationship, an unfinished task, a deferred prayer.

Reflection

Al-Jāmi‘ is The Gatherer — the One who brings together what is scattered. He will gather all of creation on the Day of Judgement, but He also gathers in the present: gathering your broken pieces, gathering your scattered focus, gathering the right people into your life at the right time. When things feel fragmented, Al-Jāmi‘ is at work.

On this verse

No doubt. The gathering is certain. Every scattered soul, every unresolved account, every unfinished story — all brought together.

Du'a

اللَّهُمَّ اجْمَعْ شَمْلِي

O Allah, gather my scattered affairs.

General du’a phrasing from classical collections

When life feels fragmented — too many responsibilities, too many emotions, too many directions — ask Al-Jāmi‘ to gather you.

Hadith

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Allah will gather all of creation, barefoot, naked, and uncircumcised, on the Day of Resurrection.”
