Can women go to the mosque? I heard some people say it's better to pray at home.
Short Answer
Women are fully permitted to go to the mosque, and for a revert seeking community, it is highly recommended.
- hadith
Do not prevent the female servants of Allah from the mosques of Allah
Sahih Muslim #442
- hadith
Do not prevent your women from visiting the mosques, but their houses are better for them
Sunan Abi Dawud #567
That women are "banned" or "disliked" at the mosque. This is cultural, not religious. The Prophet's mosque was full of female companions.
As a revert, the mosque is your lifeline to community and knowledge. You should absolutely go. Isolation is dangerous for a new Muslim; the community is your safety net.
