He Finds What Is Lost

الْوَاجِدُ

Al-Wājid — The Finder

وَوَجَدَكَ ضَالًّا فَهَدَى

Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)

Surah Aḍ-Ḍuḥā (93:7)

ارادہ

Today, I will trust that even when I feel lost, Al-Wājid has already found me.

تدبر

Al-Wājid is The Finder — the One who lacks nothing, who finds and possesses everything. Nothing is missing from Him, nothing is beyond His reach. But Al-Wājid also finds what you have lost: lost hope, lost direction, lost connection. In the story of the Prophet (peace be upon him)’s life, Allah found him searching and gave him guidance.

آیت پر تدبر

Found you lost — not punished you for being lost. Found you and guided you. The finding is an act of love. Even the Prophet (peace be upon him) was found by Allah before he found the way.

دعا

The opening of the qunūt prayer in the Shāfiʿī and Ḥanbalī traditions. (The Ḥanafī and Mālikī schools use different beautiful invocations of trust during qunūt — all are valid expressions of seeking guidance.) It asks to be placed among the company of the guided — not alone, but in good company.

حدیث

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Allah is happier with the repentance of His servant than one of you who finds his lost camel in the desert.”
