الْقَهَّارُ

Al-Qahhār — The Subduer

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُونُوا قَوَّامِينَ بِالْقِسْطِ شُهَدَاءَ لِلَّهِ وَلَوْ عَلَى أَنفُسِكُمْ

O ye who believe! Be ye staunch in justice, witnesses for Allah, even though it be against yourselves or (your) parents or (your) kindred, whether (the case be of) a rich man or a poor man, for Allah is nearer unto both (than ye are). So follow not passion lest ye lapse (from truth) and if ye lapse or fall away, then lo! Allah is ever Informed of what ye do

Surah An-Nisāʾ (4:135)

Intention

Today, I will stand for justice in one situation — even a small one — because silence is complicity.

Reflection

Al-Qahhār integrated: standing against injustice is not occasional activism — it is character. After four cycles, the One who subdues all opposition has embedded this in you: you cannot witness wrong and remain silent. You speak up not because it is easy but because the One who overcomes all oppression does not tolerate passivity in the face of it.

Hadith

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'Help your brother, whether he is an oppressor or is oppressed.' They asked: 'How do I help him when he is the oppressor?' He said: 'By preventing him from oppressing.'
